Throughout the world, hundreds of millions of migrants are currently on the move. When I first started reading about their plight, I felt outrage and wondered why every one of these people weren't welcomed and supported by every country they tried to enter. With more research, I came to understand that these circumstances are extremely complicated, with a number of complex issues to be considered from all sides.
The situation brings with it danger, human rights violations, and untenable conditions for the migrants, as well as strain on government resources. Yet, hearts filled with hope, migrants risk everything for the promise of safety and a better life. “Migrant” depicts the obstacles these millions face along their way.
