Banyan Study 400

This piece focuses on the dynamic planes and forms of the banyan tree trunk. I printed the original photo onto archival drawing paper, then cut it into sections to define the shapes and forms of each part of the trunk. After mounting, I drew into the piece with colored pencil, graphite, and charcoal, to emphasize shape and form.
