Fern Forest -- 20"Hx20"Wx1"D

This collage of photos from Fern Forest in Coconut Creek, FL, reflects the sensory overload of the many species I encountered during my visit. I printed the photos onto archival drawing paper, then cut them into sections and mounted them, with some pieces elevated to interpret the dynamics of the space, creating a bas-relief effect. After mounting, I drew into the piece with colored pencil, graphite, and charcoal, to emphasize shape, form, and shadow.
 
This work is professionally framed and ready for hanging. The framed dimensions are 20” H x 20” W x 1” D. The work has a dark charcoal wood frame with a black mat and is covered by Plexiglas.
