Landscape Imagined #2

Landscape Imagined #2

This collage offers the viewer an ‘almost-but-not-quite’ real landscape and is made up of photos I have taken at nature preserves throughout South Florida. I printed the photos onto archival drawing paper, then cut them into sections and mixed them to create a new and surreal landscape space. The pieces were mounted into a new composition, with some elevated to emphasize spatial dynamics. I then drew into the piece with colored pencil, graphite, and charcoal, to emphasize the dynamics of color, shape, form, and light.
