Mangrove Triptych 16"Hx36"Wx1"D

In this piece, I took three photos of mangroves and juxtaposed them to emphasize the unique shapes and spaces of this fascinating tree. I printed the original photos onto archival drawing paper, then cut them into sections and mounted the pieces, with some elevated to interpret the dynamics of the space and create a bas relief effect. After mounting, I drew into the piece with colored pencil, graphite, and charcoal, to emphasize shape, form, and shadow.

This work is professionally framed and ready for hanging. The framed dimensions are 16” H x 36” W x 1” D.  The work has a dark silver metal frame with a dark gray mat and is covered by Plexiglas.
