Net Zero #1 - 15.5"Hx12.5"Wx1.5"D
This series, titled “Net Zero,” juxtaposes natural and man-made materials—leaves, branches, and earth blended with built forms and spaces —as well as portraits overlaid with photos of nature. These works reflect my deep concern for the health of our planet and the urgent need to restore a balance between the built and the natural worlds.
At the heart of this project is the concept of Net Zero: cutting carbon emissions to a level that can be absorbed and stored by nature or removed by other methods, leaving no net impact on the atmosphere.
This work represents my response to critical climate change issues, based on research by the Sierra Club, The Climate Reality Project and other organizations. The collage aims to spark reflection, conversation and action, because the future of our planet depends on it.
The collage is professionally framed and ready for hanging. The frame is white and the work floats atop a white mat. To highlight yet protect the three-dimensional elements of this work, I invested in non-glare Museum Acrylic as its cover.
