New Boundaries #1 is one of four in this series, where I created an abstract paper sculpture depicting an ‘almost-but-not-quite real’ place, somewhere between authentic and imagined, challenging the viewer to push their own boundaries of what they believe may be real – or not. The four works in this series have the same colors and are approximately the same size. My initial intention was to show them together, however, I have found that each one stands as a complete story on its own. These abstract sculptures celebrate ambiguity and challenge the viewer to ask questions, such as What is it?, Where is it?, What do I see and feel? and Do I find myself in it  -- or not?

This work is professionally framed and ready for hanging. The frame is white and the work floats atop a white mat. To highlight yet protect the three-dimensional elements of this work, I invested in non-glare Museum Acrylic as its cover.
