“Within” explores the perception of ‘restriction’ versus ‘protection.’ In this abstract geometric mixed media sculpture, I used wire mesh and a series of gateways that land somewhere between real and imagined.  The space could be interpreted as a constrained enclosure or a place of safety and shelter. My choice of the wire mesh presents a dominant texture and pattern, leaving me to question: is it harsh or soothing? I invite the viewer to wander into this space and solve the mystery for themselves.
 
This work is professionally framed and ready for hanging. The frame is white and the work floats atop a white mat. To highlight yet protect the three-dimensional elements of this work, I invested in non-glare Museum Acrylic as its cover.
